Paramount Pictures Begins Early Development on ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 4’

Paramount Pictures has put into early development a fourth Sonic the Hedgehog film.

Today, Paramount Pictures released the third film in their Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy to much critical praise. The film is poised to take the top spot at the box office over the weekend and is currently sitting around 87% on Rotten Tomatoes. The studio is so happy with the early number projections they have already greenlighted a fourth film. According to a report, the next film is already a go, and director Jeff Fowler may return. Ben Schwartz, Idris Elba, and Keanu Reeves are expected to return as Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow. The pink female hedgehog, Amy Rose, is a significant character yet to be introduced into the live-action franchise.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is slated to hit theaters sometime in Spring 2027
