Jared Leto Will Play Skeletor in the ‘Masters of the Universe’ Live-Action Movie

Jared Leto will play the villain Skeletor in the Masters of the Universe live-action movie.

Today, a report revealed that actor Jared Leto had nabbed the lead villain role in the upcoming Masters of the Universe live-action movie as Skeletor. The actor is known for portraying many out-of-the-box villains since 2016’s Suicide Squad as The Joker. He is next seen in Disney’s Tron: Ares film.

His henchmen have also joined the cast, including Sam C. Wilson (House of the Dragon) as Trap Jaw; Kojo Attah (The Beekeeper) as Tri-Klops; and Hafthor Bjornsson (Game of Thrones) a Goat Man. They all join Nicholas Galitzine as Eternia’s greatest warrior, He-Man. Travis Knight is set to direct the film with a screenplay by Chris Butler.

Masters of the Universe is slated to hit theaters on June 5th, 2026
