Today, a report announced that actress Hayley Atwell is set to return as Peggy Carter in Marvel Studios Avengers: Doosmday. This comes off the news that Chris Evans is also expected to return in an unknown role. Though some have suggested he will once again take up the mantle of Nomad from Avengers: Infinity War (via The Hot Mic). The news also suggests the two could be plucked from the timeline where they are reunited following the events of Avengers: Endgame before they grew old, but that is pure speculation. She could also be playing Captain Carter from the What If…? universe and not the version that died in Doctor Strange 2. Production begins sometime early next year.
