Earlier this month, we at Knight Edge Media got the first plot details on the next Avatar: The Last Airbender series, Avatar: Seven Havens (rumored title), which will follow the Earth Avatar following The Legend of Korra. At the time, we labeled everything a rumor as we couldn’t verify 100% of the plot information, but then the floodgates opened, and a slew of leaks happened in the subsequent days to confirm our report. The leaks also hinted at artwork consistent with Studio Mir returning to this series after working on The Legend of Korra. They also recently worked on Voltron: Legendary Defender and My Adventures with Superman.

We learned that the next Avatar is named Pavi, and she will be part of a set of 9-year-old twin girls. With her sister being named Nisha (both will also have their own cat-monkey animal guide). As in our report, Pavi will live on the streets, while Nisha will live a privileged life because she is seen as more powerful of the two by the White Lotus. We learned that the show takes place in a new region called Elora City, as the original four nations no longer exist. Many of the cities have been covered in spirit vines since Korra season 3. The new city will be one of seven new locations or “havens.” She will have an Airbending companion Jae, who is also part of the White Lotus. The leaks also revealed that both sisters will indeed be reunited after their separation, and they will both believe they are the Avatar. They both argue about who the true Avatar is, with Pavi being the more passive one and Nisha being more aggressive.

Official logline In this epic animated adventure series, two young sisters are gifted with fantastical abilities. To save the planet from chaotic energy storms they must unravel the mystery of where they came from.

After posting our original report, we at Knight Edge Media were explicitly told by a different source that both twins are, in fact, the Avatar. Both will be shown entering the Avatar State in the first few episodes. The series’ overarching plot is how we got our first set of Avatar twins in the universe’s history (Roku’s non-Avatar brother aside). Do both have the spirit of Raava in them, or does one have the evil Vaatu? Can they both bend all four elements beyond Earth? Why did Korra originally reshape the world? These are the questions that are answered throughout the series.

We have now learned that the series was created under the working title Aurora at Nickelodeon Animation. Outside the seven havens, there are wastelands that will be full of energy storms and show a flowing aurora in the sky. The original 2023 casting call also stated they were open to a single-voice actress voicing both Pavi and Nisha and be of South Asian/East Indian descent. Finally, the project is listed as being 26 episodes long, each approximately 22 minutes long. It’s unknown if this means season 1 will be a full 26 episodes (Like ATLA) or if it will be split up into two 13-episode parts (like Korra). However, 26 episodes will be made from the start of production, regardless of the show’s release schedule. Don’t expect much official information on the series until it is close to the release of the Avatar Aang movie in January 2026.
