Aubrey Plaza’s Secret Identity Revealed in Marvel’s ‘Agatha All Along’

While many were fans of WandaVision, others didn’t see the point of an Agatha spin-off series. While high praise was given to Kathryn Hahn as the Marvel Cinematic Universe antihero witch, Agatha Harkness, there was simply no need for this story, which was not even found in the comics. It wasn’t until the studio announced that Aubrey Plaza (Parks & Rec, Legion) would co-star as a mysterious green witch named Rio with a past connected to Agatha that fans took an interest in the show.

With yesterday’s newest episode on Disney+, it has been revealed that Plaza will continue in the MCU as the goddess Death. Some fans had long fancast Plaza as Death, but some thought she could be another powerful witch like Morgan Le Fay or return as her Legion character, the Shadow King. Unfortunately, Funk Pop leaked her character reveals early on, revealing that Teen was Billy Maximoff reincarnated before the show could. In the comics, Thanos began the Infinity War to win favor with Death by destroying half the universe in her name. However, this storyline didn’t play out in the films, as this is the first mention of her existence. It will be interesting to see how Death is incorporated into the larger MCU alongside the introduction of Mephsito.
