Today, Sony Pictures released their final Venom film set in their non-Spider-Man universe that included Morbius, Madame Web, and Kraven the Hunter.  While Venom has always been an anti-hero, he has had several symbiote villains in each film, including Carnage last time around. Now Venom comes face-to-face with the God of the Symbiotes, Knull.

The studio also tapped Lord of the Rings and Planet of the Apes star Andy Serkis to play the character. Serkis directed the second film in the trilogy before exiting the third to work on The Hunt for Gollum—unfortunately, few like this film, which currently sits around 37% on Rotten Tomatoes. After Kraven the Hunter is released, hopefully, Sony Pictures puts to bed these Spider-Man villain films without Spider-Man.
