Juggernaut Spotted In Latest ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Promo Despite Vinnie Jones Denials

During the press tours for The Gentlemen TV Series on Netflix in March, many reporters asked Vinnie Jones if he would return for Deadpool & Wolverine. The actor previously played the character of Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand back in 2007. While admitting he loved the Deadpool films, the actor said a deal couldn’t be worked out during filming (via Variety).

“Funnily enough I just got asked to do ‘Deadpool,’ the new one now, and I spoke to the director and I just said it’s such a drama putting that suit on mentally and physically. It had its mental toll as well because you’re in it and you can’t do anything all day, you can only drink through a straw. So we couldn’t strike the deal for ‘Deadpool [and Wolverine].’”

Today, star Ryan Reynolds has released a small promo for his upcoming multiversal film for #BestFriendsDay. Fans have spotted Juggernaut appearing quickly in the teaser at 0:22 while in The Void. It’s unknown if Vinnie Jones was lying about appearing, as this version looks to be The Last Stand version of Juggernaut and not the fully CGI version from Deadpool 2. Deadpool & Wolverine also had about a week of reshoots in April/May to add more cameos (via ComicBookMovie.com), which could explain how Jones ultimately appears again as Juggernaut. Though again, the actor playing the character has yet to be confirmed.

Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters on July 26th
