Director Grant Sputore Takes Over ‘Godzilla x Kong’ Sequel Duties

Today, a report revealed that director Grant Sputore has taken over directing duties for the upcoming Godzilla and Kong sequel. This comes after the news that Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong director Adam Wingard would be stepping away from the Monsterverse franchise. Sputore is best known for directing the sci-fi movie I Am Mother for Netflix in 2019. Shang-Chi screenwriter Dave Callaham has been taped to the pen the script. It’s unknown who from the cast will return as each film has had a new set of human protagonists besides the last two films.
