Despite production ending shortly after the SAG-AFTRA actor’s strike late last year, more casting has been revealed for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Jim Carrey will return again to play Doctor Robotnik in the third film in the series. Sonic’s arch-nemesis appeared in the previous two films but seemingly perished in the last movie. However, his body was never found from his on0screen death, leading to the possibility of a return. The next film will feature the introduction of Shadow. Who will voice the character is unknown, but some rumors suggest Hayden Christensen (Ahsoka) might have gotten the call. Ben Schwartz returns as Sonic’s voice, and Idris Elba returns to voice Knuckles.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 hits theaters on December 20th
