María Gabriela De Faría Joins ‘Superman: Legacy’ as The Engineer

Today, Deadline announced that up-and-coming star María Gabriela De Faría has joined the cast of James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy. She has landed the coveted role of Angela Spica (aka The Engineer) from the team The Authority. María Gabriela De Faría is best known for appearing in Lionsgate’s The Exorcism of God and the Fox comedy series Animal Control.

She joins David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, as they were cast prior to the SAG strike over the summer. Nathan Fillion will also appear as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho. Production begins sometime in early 2024.
