Today, Variety announced the full cast for the upcoming Knuckles spin-off series on Paramount+. The series will feature Idris Elba returning to voice the character after appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Adam Pally (Dirty Grandpa) will return as the wacky sheriff Wade Whipple and Tika Sumpter (Ride Along 2) return from the two films.
The rest of the cast includes Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones), Julian Barratt (Mindhorn), Scott Mescudi (Don’t Look Up), Ellie Taylor (Ted Lasso), and Rory McCann (Game of Thrones). The series takes place between Sonic 2 and 3, which will also introduce Shadow the Hedgehog. Production is underway in London, with John Whittington as head writer. Jeff Fowler returns to direct the pilot and produce the series alongside Elba.
