Lin-Manuel Miranda Joins ‘Percy Jackson’ Disney+ Series as Hermes

Recently, Walt Disney announced that singer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda has joined the cast of the Percy Jackson series. He will play the Greek god Hermes and the father of half-blood Luke (played by Charlie Bushnell). Miranda is best known for his award-winning plays Hamilton and In The Heights. The latter was adapted to the big screen with the 2021 film of the same name. Jon Steinberg (The Old Man) and Dan Shotz (Black Sails) will serve as showrunners. The original book series author Rick Riordan also serves as writer and consultant on the show. Production continues in Vancouver through January 2023.
