Director Shawn Levy Enters Talks To Helm An Untitled ‘Star Wars’ Film; J.D Dillard’s Film Scrapped

Today, Variety announced that director and producer Shawn Levy has entered talks to develop a new untitled Star Wars film for Lucasfilm. Levy is best known for directing both Free Guy and The Adam Project with Ryan Reynolds. However, he is currently slated to direct Deadpool 3 and finish producing the final season of Stranger Things. The report also states that director J.D Dillard‘s long-in-development film has been scrapped by the studio. Another film was put into development by writer Damon Lindelof several months ago. No writer has been attached but will once again be produced by Kathleen Kennedy.
