NYCC 22: Fred Armisen Revealed As Uncle Fester in Netflix’s ‘Wednesday Addams’ TV Series

Over the weekend, Netflix unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming Wednesday Addams series starring Jenna Ortega. The series revealed that original 1990s Wednesday Addams actress Christina Ricci will play a professor at Nevermore Academy, Miss Thornhill. The streaming service also announced that Latino actor Fred Armisen will play the secret role of Uncle Fester. He joins Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Gomez and Morticia Addams. Armisen spoke at the show’s New York Comic-Con panel, “I shaved my head because this was like a role. As soon as I heard about it, I was like, ‘Oh, I gotta be Fester.’ I really wanted to do it, and I wanted to do it right and not like have like a bald cap or anything. So, I just shaved my head, and I was proud to do it.”

Wednesday will stream exclusively on Netflix on November 23rd
