Josh Andrés Rivera Re-teams With Rachel Zegler on ‘The Hunger Games’ Prequel

Recently, The Wrap announced that  Josh Andrés Rivera has joined the cast of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. He was seen opposite star Rachel Zegler in West Side Story as Maria’s dorky date Chino. He will now join Zegler as they travel back to Panem decades before the events of the original Hunger Games films. They also join Tom Blyth as a young Cornelius Snow. Rivera will star as Sejanus Plinth of District 2 and friend to Snow. Francis Lawrence returns to direct the film from a screenplay by original author Suzanne Collins. Production is currently underway.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes hits theaters in November 2023
