Viola Davis Enters Talks To Star in an ‘Amanda Waller’ Centered HBO Max Series

Today, Variety announced that Viola Davis has entered talks to reprise her role as Amanda Waller in an upcoming series on HBO Max. The actress is best known for the role in both Suicide Squad films and the spin-off series Peacemaker. However, following the events of Season 1 she is outed to the press by her daughter Adebayo (played by Danielle Brooks) using convicts in her Task Force X program. The series could follow the events as Waller looks to hunt down anyone who’s done her wrong as she worked for ARGUS and starts the secret organization Checkmate. Christal Henry will write the series with James Gunn returning to executive produce.
