‘Star Wars: Andor’ Will Only Be 2 Seasons Long; ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 hits in Early 2023

Today, Lucasfilm hosted its annual Star Wars Celebration event. During the panel for Star Wars: Andor star Deigo Luna learned that production on the second season has already been greenlighted by the studio. Showrunner Tony Gilroy revealed that Andor will consist of only 2 seasons both 12-episodes long. The final episode will lead directly into the opening scene of 2016’s  Star Wars: Rogue One; where we find Cassian Andor investigating the first Death Star. Production will begin in November on the sophomore season.

The studio also announced that season 3 of The Mandalorian won’t debut until February 2023 on Disney+ This small announcement comes before the show’s full panel with star Pedro Pascal this Saturday. Following the events of The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu has returned to Din Djarin. He chooses the life of a Mandalorian instead of training as a Jedi with Master Luke Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano.

Both Andor and The Mandalorian will stream on Disney+
