Simu Liu and America Ferrera Join WB’s ‘Barbie’ Cast

Recently, Deadline announced that Superstar actress America Ferrera has joined the cast of Barbie. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling have both long been attached to the project as Barbie and Ken. Now, The Hollywood Reporter has announced Simu Liu has also joined the cast. He is best known for the title role in Marvel’s Studios Shang-Chi and Kim’s Convenience. Little Women director Greta Gerwig will direct with a screenplay from co-writer Noah Baumbach. Robbie is producing the film under her LuckyChap Entertainment production banner. Production begins later this year.
