Today, Variety announced that Cobie Smulders is set to appear in the Secret Invasion series for Marvel Studios. The project has been filming with many of the actors also appearing in The Marvels feature film. Smulders will return once again as the former S.H.I.E.L.D agent Maria Hill. She was last seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home alongside Nick Fury but revealed to be a Skrull in disguise. Leading many to wonder what happened to her and Nick Fury since Civil War. Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, and Emilia Clarke all will appear in the series. As well as Samuel L. Jackson returning as Nick Fury.
