During Netflix Code Conference (via Deadline), co-CEO Ted Sarandos dropped the hint that the Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers are considering expanding upon their universe beyond the main continuity. “Franchises are good, but what you want are hits,” before the cultural phenomenon hit with the first season.

Now that Season 4 is almost upon us with the most recent trailer, the CEO mentions that talks between star Millie Bobby Brown and the streaming network are underway regarding her character Eleven. Considering most of the seasons have featured her character, it’ll be interesting to see what exactly a “spin-off” series about her character would even entail.

Stranger Things season 4 will debut on Netflix in 2022
