Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that actress Issa Rae is set to voice Jessica Drew in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2. Jessica Drew is best known as Spider-Woman in the comics. She was original a Hydra Agent that was tested on in England before becoming her own hero. Issa Rae is best known for her role on HBO’s Insecure. Phil Lord and Chris Miller will pen the project alongside David Callaham. With Amy Pascal producing the project for Sony Pictures. The original film won an Academy Award for Best Animated Film in 2018.
