Director Adam Wingard Will Helm a ‘Thundercats’ Reboot

Recently, Godzilla vs Kong opened to relatively good reviews in both theaters and on HBO Max for Warner Brothers. Now director Adam Wingard has been tapped to helm an upcoming Thundercats project for the studio according to Deadline. Thundercats has been a passion project for Wingard since High School. The director mentions that this “CGI/live-action hybrid” and won’t be the motion-capture used in Cats. This means it will be more like the CGI used In The Lion King “live-action/CGI” remake. Simon Barrett penned the original draft with Wingard coming in for rewrites.
