Thaal Sinestro Green Lantern Corps HBO Max Banner1

Recently, a casting call has gone for HBO Max’s upcoming Green Lantern streaming series. The recent call is for the role of Thaal Sinestro who will be a member of the Corp before his eventual fall. Casting has been going on for several months for the roles of several members of the Green Lantern Corp throughout history. We at Knight Edge Media provided several audition tapes for the roles of Alan Scott, Jessica Cruz, and Bree Jarta. Other Lanterns that will appear in the show include fan-favorite Guy Gardner and Simon Baz.

[THAAL SINESTRO]
(Male, 40s, any ethnicity)
The greatest of all the Green Lanterns, Sinestro is akin to a warrior monk, the personification of grace under pressure. He serves as the strategic commander for the Corps and all Lanterns follow his orders without question. Although he is revered for his unmatched will power and wisdom, a darker destiny belies his otherwise Zen demeanor. [SERIES REGULAR]

Mark Strong originally played the character in the 2011 movie starring Ryan Reynolds. His casting was considered one of the best aspects of the film regardless of how critically panned the film ended up being. It’ll be interesting if they get a person of color to portray the character.
