Oscar Isaac Cast as Solid Snake in Sony’s ‘Metal Gear Solid’ Adaptation

Today, Variety announced that Star Wars and future Marvel star Oscar Isaac has been cast as the original Solid Snake in Sony’s long-in-development Metal Gear Solid adaption. Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts has been developing the film alongside video game creator Hideo Kojima for the better part of a decade. The original game followed Solid Snake, a soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons facility to neutralize the terrorist threat from Foxhound, a renegade special forces unit. Isaac was recently seen in the sequel trilogy of Star Wars. He also signed onto star as Moon Knight for Marvel Studios which begins production in 2021.
