Earlier this week, Daniel Richtman revealed on his Patreon that Ubisoft is looking to developing another staple property alongside their partnership with Netflix. According to the report, the companies are looking to make a live-action Splinter Cell into a TV Series. This comes off the news Ubisoft and Netflix are developing a live-action Assassins Creed TV series. As well as a Splinter Cell anime also being developed by Netflix accoridng to Variety.

Sam Fisher is an elite Black-Ops agent called the Splinter Cell. When two government operatives undercover in Georgia go missing, Sam is sent in by the Third Echelon to investigate. … Sam Fisher, an officer for the National Security Agency, does covert work in order to defend American freedom.

Interestingly enough, when Ubisoft announced the Assassins Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender, a Splinter Cell movie was also announced starring Tom Hardy. However, that fell into development hell after Assasin Creed bombed at the box office. It would make sense for the companies to now pivot to online streaming. It’s unknown if Tom Hardy will be attached to this project but is still only under consideration…
