Recently, it was revealed that Mad Max director Geroge Miller has begun meeting actresses for his upcoming Mad Max semi-prequel Mad Max: Furisoa. You could make the argument that Mad Max: Fury Road was also a Furisoa film as opposed to Mad Max. However, the upcoming prequel will feature a young Furisoa (originally played by Charlize Theron). The director has met with Split and New Mutants star Ana Taylor-Joy about possibly playing a younger Furisoa. With Hollywood currently at a standstill due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it’s unknown when the film will begin production but could begin in 2021.
