‘Venom’ & ‘Zombieland’ Director Ruben Fleischer Courted To Direct ‘Uncharted’

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that director Ruben Fleischer is at the top of Sony’s list to direct their long-in-development Uncharted adaption. Fleischer has already made a name for himself with the Zombieland films as well as Sony’s own monster hit Venom. The upcoming adaption of the popular video game is set to star Tom Holland as Nathan Drake with Mark Wahlberg joining recently as Sully. The film has seen multiple directors come and go including Shawn Levy (Reel Steel) and Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane). Most recently Travis Knight (Bumblebee) exiting the project.

Uncharted has a December 18th, 2020 release date currently; but may end up being pushed back
