Universal Pictures Considering Another ‘Jason Bourne’ Film with Director Edward Berger

Today, Deadline announced another Jason Bourne film is in early development at Universal Pictures. The studio is looking to hire director Edward Berger to helm the project. Berger is best known for directing the Oscar-winning World War I film  All Quiet On The Western Front. Once a script is finished, the studio wants to approach Matt Damon to play the amnesia assaian once again. After the unsuccessful spin-off, The Bourne Legacy starring Jeremy Renner, Damon returned to the character in 2016’s Jason Bourne film. He previously played the character in The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum in the early 2000s.
