Today, Marvel Studios released the final episode of their Secret Invasion series onto Disney+. The episode has been getting hit hard by fans of the MCU and is currently rated the worst episode in the MCU at 13% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, with the conclusion of the series, we now learn that the fate of Maria Hill (played once again by Cobie Smulders) is solidified and final.

Many fans had hoped that the S.H.I.E.L.D agent’s death was just a fake-out. Unfortunately, now we know that Maria Hill was indeed the human version of the character and not secretly a Skrull. Her death kicked off the world, hunting down Nick Fury as the main perpetrator instead of the shapeshifting terrorist Gravik. However, justice was finally given to Hill after the defeat of Gravik in the finale. It’ll be interesting to see how the repercussions of her death will change the MCU, much like Agent Coulson in The Avengers.
