Today, a new report announced that screenwriter Lauren LeFranc will produce a Poison Ivy TV series for DC Studios and HBO. LeFranc served as showrunner and head writer on The Penguin, a series set in The Batman universe and created by director Matt Reeves. This report claims the series will not be part of the Matt Reeves universe, which means we won’t get cameos from fan favorites Selina Kyle (Zoe Kravitz) or Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti).

We at Knight Edge Media were tracking the series, were notified about LeFranc’s involvement just last night, and were told it will be part of the same universe. There seems to be some miscommunication about whether it is canon at this point, so it should be treated as a rumor. We also heard Kaley Cuoco’s production company, Yes, Norman Productions, may be involved with this show as well. Jeff Sneider first mentioned this series over the summer on The Hot Mic. Casting has not begun for the series.
