Today, a new report has revealed the current shortlist of actors in the running for James Bond. Once again, Callum Turner (Fantastic Beasts) and Jack Lowden (Dunkirk, Slow Horses) top the list. The report also names Josh O’Connor (Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man, The Crown) as a new name no one had previously rumored. And yet again, another mystery candidate is being considered for the final four. In August, Knight Edge Media heard they were possibly down to three, including Turner, Jack O’Connell (Sinners), and a secret candidate. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, O’Connell is no longer a finalist, and Jacob Elordi (Franksenstien) was never considered. Since our original report, two months ago, they may have recently created a new shortlist and expanded it. We also heard final screen tests were supposed to be a week ago, but according to the new report, they had to push it so everyone could test around the same time. The constant through all the rumors over the last year has been Callum Turner and Jack Lowden, though it’s interesting that a dark-horse candidate could still steal the job from everyone.
