Today was the final day for CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The week-long industry event closed out with a 2-hour Walt Disney panel, including the final 20 minutes dedicated to Marvel Studios. The panel included stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans, who arrived on stage alongside directors The Russo Brothers and producer Kevin Feige to promote the major multiversal crossover film. Those in attendance were surprised by the first theatrical trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The trailer also features Doom speaking in his comic-accurate Eastern European accent, something we have yet to see in a live-action adaptation:

The trailer opens on Professor Xavier watching an energy rift from inside the X-Mansion. Then we see Robert Downey Jr. unmasked as Victor Von Doom talking in his Latverian accent. After the studio logo, the brand new completed Avengers tower is shown, with the Fantastic Four meeting Sam Wilson’s division of Avengers. Some alliances are forged as we are shown The Thing trying to join forces with the Wakandans.

Tensions arise as some fight scenes between our heroes are shown. Channing Tatum as Gambit battles Shang-Chi, and Yelena fights a disguised Mystique. In a major beat of the trailer, Thor tries to strike Doom with Stormbreaker but Doom can stop it with just the palm of his hand. In the big final scene of the trailer, Thor looks to a character offscreen. “It can’t be,” says Thor, holding out Mjolnir, which then flies into Steve Rogers’ hands, Rogers is bearded and in a black shirt before the title card concludes the trailer.

The trailer did not immediately drop online for fans to consume, as this was a closed-door event for theater owners and select members of the press. However, with the full trailer now officially done, it can’t be too much longer before Marvel Studios releases. The trailer will most likely be released exclusively alongside The Mandalorian and Grogu, set to hit theaters on May 22nd. Though that is just pure speculation.
