Today, a new report announced that actor Noah Centineo is set to join Sydney Sweeney in Legendary Pictures’ live-action adaptation of Gundam. The movie was announced earlier this year with Sweeney attached after she finished filming Euphoria season 3 on HBO. Her character and the male lead are, in the vein of Romeo & Juliet, on opposite sides of a war between planets, who find a connection.

Centineo recently finished filming his Street Fighter live-action movie before signing on to Gundam, but he is still attached to film a Rambo prequel in early 2026. The film will be a live-action adaptation of the classic 1980s anime. Sweet Tooth showrunner Jim Mickle is set to write and direct the film.
