Today, Warner Bros., in association with HBO & Max, announced the full adult cast for the Hogwarts staff in the Harry Potter reboot TV series. The confirmed cast includes the previously rumored John Lithgow as Professor Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Professor Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Professor Severus Snape, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid. They will all serve as series regulars throughout season 1. In recurring roles, Luke Thallon will appear as Professor Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse will appear as Argus Filch, the groundskeeper. The three leading roles of Harry, Ron, and Hermione have been cast but have not yet been announced by the studio. Production begins this summer in Leavesden, UK.
