Today, a report has revealed that Paramount Pictures has started to put together ideas for A Quiet Place: Part 3. The true sequel to Part 2 has been on the back burner for several years due to director John Krasinski’s schedule. While speaking to The Direct producer Brad Fuller reveals once Krasinski finishes filming his Jack Ryan movie, he will begin working on A Quiet Place sequel:
“So, ‘Day One’ is not ‘A Quiet Place 3,’ just to be clear… ‘A Quiet Place 3,’ we’re starting to put it together right now. You know, when we made the first one, John [Krasinski] didn’t have a lot on his plate. He had just come off ‘The Office,’ and he wanted to be a director. Now, he’s so in demand, and it’s hard to get him… He’s making a movie now, so as soon as he finishes that, hopefully, he will turn his attention to [‘A Quiet Place 3’]. We all want to finish that trilogy, and I’m hopeful there’s even more ‘Quiet Place’ movies beyond that.”
A Quiet Place: Day One was released last year as a prequel to the first film’s events during the alien’s initial invasion of Earth. Krasinski had a hand in the story but didn’t direct the movie like the previous two. Hopefully, now that his schedule is about to clear up, he can focus on a proper ending to his original sci-fi horror trilogy.
