Last night, Marvel Studios released the first two episodes of their upcoming Daredevil revival series, Daredevil: Born Again. In the first 5-minutes of the episode, Foggy Nelson (played by Elden Henson) is tragically shot and killed by Bullseye (played by Wilson Bethel). His death was always part of the show, even before the creative overhaul in late 2023. Karen Page was also supposed to die with Foggy in the first version of the show. The difference is that their deaths were going to be off-screen and only mentioned. However, with the creative overhaul, Karen Page is still alive but now estranged from Matt Murdock. She moved from New York City to San Francisco after Foggy’s death.
While speaking to Brandon Davis of Phase Hero, Marvel Television head and producer Brad Winderbaum tells us both are expected to return in season 2. While this may lead some fans to think somehow Foggy Nelson survives, it should be noted that the episode also does a one-year time jump, and he is still dead. They could have flashbacks of Page, Nelson, and Murdock once again, even if it’s in the past. Production on season 2 is expected to begin later this month in New York City.
