Today, a report announced that director Justin Lin had signed on to the long-in-development BRZRKR live-action movie. The upcoming movie will be an adaption of the Boom! Comics comic book from Reeves and Matt Kindt. We at Knight Edge Media attended the SDCC 24 panel with star Keanu Reeves, who introduced Matt Tomlinson as the head writer.

“BRZKRK, is a brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior’s 80,000 year fight through the ages. The man known only as ‘B’ is half-mortal and half-god, cursed and compelled to violence, even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the earth for centuries, B may have finally found a refuge — working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else. In exchange, B will be granted the one thing he desires — the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence … and how to end it.”

Tomlinson recently penned The Batman 2 and the recently released Terminator: Zero anime series for Netflix. Lin is best known for revamping the Fast & Furious franchise before exiting the last film. A separate BRZRKR anime is also being developed on Netflix.

BRZRKR has no set release date
