Director Robert Eggers Will Tackle A ‘Werwulf’ Next

Today, a report has announced that director Robert Eggers’s next feature film will be an original adaption of the classic Wolfman story titled, Werwulf. This comes from the director’s recent period-piece films like The Witch, The Northman, and Nosferatu. He co-wrote the film with Sjon after working on The Northman, and this film will be spoken in Old English. Eggers re-teams with Universal Pictures art-house subsidiary Focus Features once again. This will be a completely different take on the character compared to the recent Wolf Man film, which takes place in the modern day.

Werwulf will hit theaters on Christmas Day 2026
