Today, a report announced that writer Ed Bernero had boarded the long-in-development Nova TV Series for Disney+ as showrunner. Bernero is best known for showrunning Criminal Minds in the early 2000s. He also replaces Sabir Pirzada, who joined the project as head writer after working on Moon Knight for the studio over 2 years ago. Back then it was unknown if this would be a series or feature film. Production is expected to begin sometime in late 2025. The story is rumored to follow Richard Rider taking Sam Alexander under his wing in the Nova Corps following the events of Avengers: Infinity War.
