Several months ago, a Sims live-action movie was revealed to be in early development. It will be based on the popular video game series.  Now, a report has revealed that the movie will be moving forward under Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap production banner and Vertigo Entertainment.

She will stay on to produce the movie, but it’s unknown if she will star in it, much like she helped shepherd last year’s Barbie. Kate Herron boarded the project to direct after working on Marvel Studios Loki and The Last of Us season 2. Briony Redman will co-write the screenplay alongside Herron. The movie is being shopped around and does not have a studio yet.

The Sims has no set release date
