Today, Netflix announced their high-fantasy series The Witcher will end after season 5. This comes off the news last year that Henry Cavill will be stepping away from the role to pursue other projects. In the meantime, Liam Hemsworth has taken over as Geralt of Rivia following Cavill’s exit. He will play the character in the show’s final two seasons, as production has begun on season 4 recently. Originally, Netflix was considering filming seasons 4 and 5 back-to-back, but that was before Cavill requested to leave the franchise. Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan will return as Yennefer and Cirilla of Cintra.
