Emma Myers Joins Warner Brothers ‘Minecraft’ Live-Action Movie

Today, Deadline announced that actress Emma Myers has closed a deal to join the cast of the upcoming Minecraft live-action movie. She is best known for her bubbly role in the massively successful Netflix series Wednesday alongside Jenna Ortega. Myers joins previously announced cast members Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen. No screenwriter has been announced for the Warner Brothers project, as the plot is being kept a secret. However, it will be strongly based on the sandbox-building game of the same name. Production begins at the end of the month in New Zealand before Myers works on Wednesday, season 2 in April in Ireland.

Minecraft is set to hit theaters on April 4, 2025
