Star Wars Celebration 2023: Dave Filoni Will Direct A ‘Mandalorian’ Crossover Event Movie

Today, during the Star Wars Celebration event in London, Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy introduced Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian co-creator Dave Filoni to the stage. The original animated director has stepped into live-action after directing several episodes of The Mandalorian and now Ahsoka.

The announcement was made that Filoni will jump into the big chair and direct a Mando-universe crossover film. The film was originally going to be a series but will feature characters from The Mandalorian, Boba Fett, and Ahsoka Dinsey+ universes. It’s unknown if this film will be the end of The Mandalorian story starring Pedro Pascal.
