Screenwriter Kelly Marcel Set To Direct Sony Pictures ‘Venom 3’

Today, Deadline announced that screenwriter Kelly Marcel has been tapped to direct the upcoming Venom Sequel starring Tom Hardy. She has co-written all three Venom films with input from Hardy. Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) and Andy Serkis (Mowgli) both directed the original two films for Sony Pictures.

Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker will return to produce the film once again. It’s unknown what the story will be about as the last time we saw Venom he was sent back to the Sony-verse by Doctor Strange in Spider-Man: No Way Home leaving behind a piece of his symbiote.
