Rachel Zegler Next Boards ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ Prequel

After her performance in West Side Story, newcomer actress Rachel Zegler was tapped to star in both SHAZAM! 2 and Snow White at Disney. Now, Variety has announced that after she completes filming on the Snow White live-action remake she will join the cast of The Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. She joins the previously announced Tom Blyth as a young President Snow about 60 years before the original books. She will play the character Lucy Gray Baird from the prequel book. Francis Lawrence returns to direct the prequel for Lionsgate.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes hits theaters Nov. 17, 2023
