Ben Kingsley Set To Return as Trevor Slattery in Marvel Studios ‘Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings’

Ever since Iron Man 3 debuted, many fans were disappointed with the bait-and-switch Marvel Studios did with the character of The Mandarin. The film introduced Ben Kingsley as Tony Stark’s nemesis, but it was later revealed as a goofy actor simply using The Mandarin’s name. The studio developed the one-shot All Hail The King, which revealed the real Mandarin was still out in the world. And he was furious Trevor had used his name as a faux joke. The Ten Rings sent a member of their terrorist cell to interview and abduct Trevor.

Now Marvel Studios is set to release Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings in theaters. The film will introduce the real Mandarin (played by Tony Leung) of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and how The Ten Rings were originally formed. Fans have wondered if the studio would bring back Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery and show what happened to him after the events of the one-shot. A recent IMDB listing has stunt double Brett Metter listed for actor Ben Kingsley. Leading many to assume that Trevor Slattery will indeed appear in the film. Now Daniel Ritchman confirmed on his Patreon that Ben Kingsley would indeed return for Shang-Chi. And he will finally seek justice for his sins against the terrorist cell.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings hits theatres this September
