Hannah John-Kamen Will Star in Millennium’s ‘Red Sonja’ Reboot

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Hannah John-Kamen has been cast as the lead in Millennium’s upcoming Red Sonja. Hannah John-Kamen is best known for the role of Ghost in Marvel Studios Ant-Man and the Wasp. Director Joey Soloway co-wrote the script with Tasha Huo confirmed the casting in a statement:

“Hannah is a very talented actress who we’ve been following for years and she IS Red Sonja. Her range, sensibilities, and strength are all qualities we have been looking for and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this journey together.”

The character of Red Soja appeared in several classic comic strips including Conan the Barbarian films starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1980’s. The character has been in development hell for several decades including Robert Rodriguez’s unmade version in 2009 starring Rose McGowan. This film will not be connected to the previously announced Conan the Barbarian TV series appearing on Netflix.
