Today, we at Knight Edge Media have found out that production will begin in the long-in-development FX series Y: The Last Man in March 2020 in Toronto, Canada. According to a recent production listening filming on season one will begin March 23rd, 2020 – July 28th, 2020 (obviously exact dates subject to change). The series had already completed filming on its pilot episode some time ago.

However, over the summer the series gained a new showrunner Eliza Clark who took over for Aida Croal and Michael Green according to The Hollywood Reporter. Which would explain the delay on the completion of season 1. Comic book writer Brian K. Vaughan stated in an Instagram post that the show is still expected to debut on FX in 2020. But that is unknown at this point unless it is Fall 2020. The show will star Diane Lane and Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk, Eternals).
