‘Star Wars’ Films To Go On Hiatus After ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Release

Today, during Disney’s quarterly Earnings Meeting CEO Bob Iger discussed the future of Star Wars films and shows. He mentions that Star Wars films will now go on a “hiatus” after the release of The Rise of Skywalker. He also reiterates that both David Benioff and DB Weiss have indeed parted ways with Lucasfilm over their Star Wars trilogy.

He does go onto mention that several TV Shows however are all in active development for the Disney+ streaming service. They include The Mandalorian, Cassian and Obi-Wan Kenobi. He finally mentions several more are in development that have yet to be announced.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters this December
