Netflix’s ‘The Sandman’ Season 2 Adds A Slew Of Norse Gods To The Cast

Today, Netflix announced that The Sandman season 2 is back in production after pausing during last summer’s SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes hit Hollywood. Patton Oswalt, Vivienne Acheampong, Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Coleman, Ferdinand Kingsley, Stephen Fry, Asim Chaudhry, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Vanesu Samunyai, and Razane Jammal are all expected to return. However, the streaming service has announced a slew of new actors that have joined the cast, including a bunch of Norse Gods within the Sandman universe. Ruairi O’Connor (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) plays Orpheus, Freddie Fox (Netflix’s The Gentlemen) plays Loki, Clive Russell (Sherlock Holmes) plays Odin, Laurence O’Fuarain (The Witcher: Blood Origin) plays Thor and Jack Gleeson (Games of Thrones) plays Puck. While several smaller roles have been filled, including Ann Skelly (The Nevers) plays Nuala, Douglas Booth (The Dirt) plays Cluracan, Indya Moore (Queen & Slim) plays Wanda, and Steve Coogan (Alan Partridge, The Trip) is the voice of Barnabas

The Sandman will return to Netflix sometime in 2025
